Print-Ready File Guide
Great prints start with great files. Follow these guidelines so your artwork comes out crisp, clean and true to your design on every garment.
Resolution
Upload files at 300 DPI at the actual print size. Anything below 150 DPI risks looking blurry or pixelated once printed. Enlarging a low-resolution image doesn't improve quality — it just stretches the pixels you already have, so always start from a high-resolution source.
Recommended dimensions
| Placement | Size (min. 300 DPI) |
|---|---|
| T-shirts & hoodies (full print) | 4500 × 5400 px |
| Front-chest logos | 1000 × 1000 px |
| Sleeve prints & small placements | 1200 × 2400 px |
File format & color
- PNG with a transparent background is preferred for most prints.
- Avoid JPEG — its compression adds artifacts that reduce sharpness.
- Use RGB color, not CMYK. Our DTG and DTF printers interpret RGB more accurately.
- Keep each file under 10 MB (the customizer's upload limit).
Transparency & clean edges
Make sure there are no stray pixels or leftover background around your design. Feathered or semi-transparent edges can leave a faded "halo" on darker garments — use solid, clean edges so the print looks sharp against any color.
Color accuracy
Colors can look slightly different on fabric than on your screen, depending on monitor calibration, the garment tone, and how the ink absorbs. For a critical color match, request a sample print before running a full order — and tell us the exact HEX or Pantone you're aiming for.
Placement tolerance
Garments are printed by hand, so a placement variance of 1 to 1.5 inches is normal and within acceptable tolerance. Center your design on a transparent canvas so its position is predictable.
Artwork you can print
You must own the design or hold a valid commercial license for everything you submit. We can't print copyrighted characters (Disney, Marvel, DC, anime, video-game characters), brand logos or trademarks, celebrity images, or song lyrics without proof of rights. See our Print Quality Policy for the full details.
Before you upload — checklist
- 300 DPI at the actual print size.
- PNG with a transparent background (RGB color).
- Clean, solid edges — no stray pixels or halo.
- Text outlined / fonts embedded.
- No low-res screenshots or images pulled from social media.
- Under 10 MB, and artwork you have the rights to use.
Not sure your file is ready? Send it to us and we'll review it before printing. A quick note: poor-resolution uploads and other file errors on the customer's side aren't eligible for reprints or refunds, so it's worth double-checking.
