Print Quality Policy

Updated October 11, 2025

Image resolution

For optimal print quality, upload files at 300 DPI at actual print size. Low-resolution files (below 150 DPI) may appear blurry or pixelated when printed.

Enlarging small images in editing software does not improve quality — always start with a high-resolution source file.

ICY is not responsible for poor print results caused by low-resolution uploads.

Recommended image sizes

  • T-Shirts & Hoodies: 4500 × 5400 px (minimum 300 DPI)
  • Front chest logos: 1000 × 1000 px (minimum 300 DPI)
  • Sleeve prints or small placements: 1200 × 2400 px (minimum 300 DPI)

File format

Submit artwork in PNG format with a transparent background. This ensures clean edges and accurate color reproduction.

Avoid using JPEGs — compression artifacts can affect print sharpness and introduce unwanted noise around edges.

If your design includes a solid background, match the background color to the garment color to avoid a visible border.

Files should be in RGB color mode, not CMYK. DTG and DTF printers interpret RGB colors more accurately.

Color accuracy

ICY uses advanced color management systems, but screen displays vary significantly between devices. A slight variation between what you see on screen and the final print is normal and expected.

Pantone matching is not supported for DTG and DTF printing methods.

Design placement

Print placement is based on the position you set in the customizer tool. ICY follows the placement coordinates exactly as submitted.

For specific placement requests outside the customizer options, include a detailed note in your order.

What ICY is responsible for

ICY takes responsibility for the following production issues:

  • Misprints caused by equipment malfunction
  • Wrong garment color or size shipped
  • Visible defects in print quality (banding, smearing, missing ink coverage)

What ICY is NOT responsible for

ICY cannot take responsibility for the following:

  • Low-resolution artwork producing blurry or pixelated prints
  • Color differences between your screen and the physical print
  • Design placement issues caused by incorrect customizer positioning
  • Artwork with embedded white backgrounds appearing as a visible box on non-white garments
